Merry Christmas 2021: Greetings from the shipyards on social media

The Italian sea group has acquired Perini Navi

The Italian Sea Group SpA (TISG) won the Perini Navi auction held by the Lucca court for the bankruptcy of Perini Navi SpA, for a total price of 80 million euros. The list of bidders also included the Ferretti Group, Sanlorenzo and Palumbo Superyachts. The auction included the industrial and real estate assets of the shipyards of Viareggio and La Spezia, the real estate complex in Pisa, a ship under construction (project n. 2369), trademarks and patents, the social participation (100%) of Perini Navi USA Inc. and existing legal relationships with employees and third parties. TISG will finance the operation through the availability of liquidity, reinvesting a significant portion of the IPO proceeds collected in early June, as well as bank financing lines. “I am very proud of this operation. We wanted to move forward with the investment, but approached the auction with absolute determination to acquire the entire asset given our consolidated competence and new contracts, especially in the segment. tall ships. The new production spaces will allow us to increase incoming orders for the future in a very dynamic segment, as evidenced by the two orders for sailboats that we signed in December. We are therefore convinced that we made the right decision, with an inbound order that exceeded expectations by 50%, ”said Giovanni Costantino, Founder and CEO of The Italian Sea Group. According to the press release, the integration of Perini Navi SpA could bring several advantages. to the Group, such as the extension of production capacity which will double order intake for the refit and will lead to the acquisition of new contracts for the construction of 90-130 meter motor yachts and the growth of the marginality for the refit.TISG had already acquired from the bankruptcy of Perini Navi two projects in progress, which will be completed via the NCA Refit division, three of which have already been operated in the refit of Perini Navi ships, as evidenced by the four yachts currently present in the shipyard.
